McNeese football's head coach Lance Guidry revealed a new throwback jersey his team will wear during this Saturday's game during his weekly press conference yesterday.

The McNeese football team will wear blue and gold striped socks, a throwback to what the Independence Bowl teams wore in 1976, 1979 and 1980 and word "Pokes" will be featured on the back of the jersey for the first time instead of the word "Cowboys".

This isn't the first time the cowboys have worn alternative jerseys.  They have worn on two occasions camo jerseys. See below

The Cowboys are currently 2-2 on the season and will look to make it two wins in a row this Saturday when they take on Nichols State.  You can see the new uniforms and kickoff is at 6:00 p.m.
