McNeese Women’s Basketball Team Accept WBI Tournament

The McNeese Athletic Department has announced that the Lady Cowgirls have accepted an invitation to the WBI (Women's Basketball Invitational) and will begin play on Thursday in Florida.

The Cowgirls who finished the season at 20-12 and made into the semi finals of the Southland Conference tournament before losing to Central Arkansas.  The Cowgirls are about to make their sixth straight post season appearance.

McNeese will travel to DeLand, Florida and play this Thursday night against Stetson.  The game is slated for a 6:00 p.m. tip off.  The WBI is a sixteen team single elimination tournament so the Cowgirls will need to keep winning to stay in the tournament.
