What do you get when the reigning female vocalist of the year and an award-winning truck get together?  A chance to help shelter animals.  Miranda Lambert has partnered with Ram Trucks, writing and performing 'Roots & Wings', to go along with her charity auction to benefit MuttNation Foundation.  Miranda auctioned off a customized Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn, just like the one she personally drives.  MuttNation Foundation was co-founded by Lambert and has raised over $2.2 million in the last seven years to help end animal cruelty, neglect and homelessness. Along with the Ram Truck auction, she is auctioning off copies of her fifths studio album. Platinum.

I had the privilege of seeing Miranda Lambert last weekend at the Bayou Country Super Fest in Baton Rouge.  As the skies opened up with monsoon rain, Miranda continued to sing and perform for her most die hard fans who braved the weather in Tiger Stadium.  I always respected her singing and entertaining ability, but now that I know she loves animals and is fighting for anti-animal cruelty action?  I love her even more.  Your rock, Miranda!
