Sometimes, I feel like I lose faith in humanity more times than I would like to. Yesterday afternoon however, I went to the drive-thru at the McDonalds on Prien Lake Road and a mystery lady does an act of kindness in which I have never experienced in the twenty four years that I have lived on this planet.

I order my food, which was a twenty piece chicken nugget meal along with a large Dr. Pepper. I'm the next car in line to pull up to the first window where you pay for your meal. The young lady working the drive-thru kept looking out the window in my direction so I was a little confused as to what she kept looking for.

Whenever I pulled up to the window, the young lady simply said "You're lucky, because the woman in front of you just paid for your meal." I was absolutely speechless. All I could say was "Wow, thank you," even though the real lady I should be thanking already drove off with her food.

I have reason to believe that this lady might have paid not only for my meal, but possibly a couple of others behind me as well. As the young lady working the drive through kept looking out of the window towards me, the lady in the car exchanged money with her a few times. Maybe she paid for someone else's meal besides mine, or maybe she didn't. All I know is that my meal was paid for by this mystery woman.

To the woman who paid for my meal at the McDonalds on Prien Lake Road yesterday afternoon, I thank you very much for your kind gesture. It is people like you that make this world a better place. It's the little gestures like this that can not only make someones day, but someones week.
