Nashville's Jonathan Jackson has announced that he will be opening a new restaurant in Franklin, Tenn., just south of his hit show's namesake.

Jackson, who portrays Avery Barkley in the TV drama, is partnering with longtime friend Steve Burton to open Jack and Jameson's Smokehouse, along with a third owner and operator, Richard Shannon.

According to the restaurant's Twitter account, the Franklin location will feature music and local beer -- over 20 taps -- in addition to barbecue. Photos of the space show a rustic interior, with tables hand made by Shannon and his son Jameson, for whom the restaurant is partially named.

An opening date for the restaurant has not yet been announced, but the restaurant's progress can be seen on its Facebook and Twitter pages.

In the meantime, fans can catch Jackson on Nashville, which returns to ABC on March 16. According to Jackson's co-star, Clare Bowen, the show's cast has become like a family while filming in Music City.

"We get to be a part of this thing, created by [Nashville‘s creator and producer] Callie Khouri, who knows Nashville like the back of her hand," Bowen tells The Boot. “The first people I met here, the first two people I met here, were [producer] Steve Buchanan and Buddy Miller, and they’ve become two of my biggest mentors …”
