Just as we are coming out of our Christmas food coma, it's time to shift gears to celebrate the New Year. 2019 will be here before we know it, but what is going on around the Lake Area? We all know your cousin's uncle's brother's friend will have a bonfire, but maybe you wanna wear more than jeans and a camo hoodie. Inside tip, one of these is the perfect venue to attend for those of us "ballin' on a budget"

It seems that there won't be any fireworks displays, but there are plenty of parties going on in the area, according to Visit Lake Charles.

Blue Martini - The Flamethrowers will headline at the Golden Nugget's Blue Martini for their NYE Masquerade party. Tickets are $65 a piece with a dress code.

The Social Club - Will crank up their festivities at 8pm featuring Chad Ryan, Chesney Claire, and Season 2 Contestant on American Idol Dani LaCour. This party will also include free NYE Party Favors and free Champagne at midnight.

The Isle of Capri  - Featuring music by Mustang Sally in the Lone Wolf Lounge, will feature a free champagne toast in the lounge and on the casino floor at midnight.

Jack Daniel's Bar and Grill - the Three Thirty Seven band will be providing your NYE entertainment at Lauberge Casino Resort

The Charleston Downtown Lake Charles - Featuring a Black and White Masquerade ball, will have entertainment by Jarvis Jacobs & The Southern Gents followed by Go DJ Big Tyma.

Rickenjaks - This one is CHEAP to attend. Rickenjaks will have no cover, free NYE party favors, and free champagne at midnight. Music will be by the Rosedown Rockers.
