Northern Teams Visit Lake Charles to Play in Warm Cowboy Diamond
Three norther teams visit Lake Charles this weekend. Our Friday forecast calls for a high in the 60s and Saturday should warm up to the 70's. The Friday home forecast for our visitors from Cape Girardeau, Mo. calls for snow or a wintry mix with a high or 25. The they will face is from Normal Illinois where it it normally cold and Friday's high will be 22 degrees.The Pokes will take on Bradley from Peoria, Illinois.
Southeastern Missouri State and Illinois State have scheduled three games against each other at Cowboy Diamond this weekend. I'm sure their players, coaches and fans are glad to be visiting Lake Charles for this weekend series. The two visiting teams will wrap their games around the Cowboys games this weekend to give fans a full weekend of baseball at Cowboy Diamond. The Redhawks and Redbirds will take the diamond for games Friday at 7 pm then Saturday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.. Let's show them some good ole Cajun hospitality!
The Cowboys will also be in action at Cowboy Diamond this weekend against Bradley Braves from Peoria, Ill. The Friday high in Peoria is 23 degrees! The Pokes will take on the Braves Friday at 6 p.m. then Saturday at 3 p.m. and wrap up the weekend series Sunday at 1 p.m.. I'm sure all three of these teams will enjoy our weather and food!
