Just in case you haven't heard, the Lake Charles Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) is moving to a temporarily location, 3001 Industrial Avenue, Lake Charles, 70615 on March 7, 2016.

Dick Gremillion, Calcasieu Parish OHSEP Director, said in spite of the move it will be business as usual.  He added, “The Calcasieu OHSEP will be relocating temporarily to 3001 Industrial Drive in order to complete an update of the Emergency Operations Center. There will be no interruption in any services of the department, nor will it interrupt any of our regular activities such as hurricane planning and response.”

Someone will be on call 24 hours a day throughout the move to insure uninterrupted service to area residents.  For more information or residents can call 337-721-3800 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After hours or in an emergency situation residents should call 911.

According to reports, the Calcasieu OHSEP office will reopen at it's newly remodeled location on Lakeshore Drive by mid-summer.
