Our Friend, A Mom, A Member Of Our Family………Departs

I finally had to just walk away from work. Losing Jolyn Slate is hitting a lot of us pretty hard.

I met Jolyn in 1990 when I took a position as the morning co-host at LA-99. She was very gracious and made me feel at home. She genuinely cared about others. She was very devoted to her family. She was the utmost professional and a Louisiana Lady through and through. I know she must have made her mom so proud. I guess the only way to accurately describe Jolyn in few words would be : "Jolyn Slate was an extraordinary woman". Everyone who knew her would agree.
