Please Remember Why We Have Memorial Day

I know a lot of us are excited about the Memorial Day Weekend. Three days off work is something to be excited about. It's a time to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. Most say it's actually the start of summertime and that's really something to celebrate. But please remember what Memorial Day is all about. It's the one day set aside to pay tribute and honor our fallen military personnel who died to keep our country free.Freedom is not free. Get the family together Monday and ride out to Orange Grove Cemetery on Broad St. between 6 a .m. and 5 p.m. They would also welcome any volunteers who could help put the flags out and pick them up. Just show up at the cemetery around 5:30 Monday morning and afternoon and your help will be appreciated.
