The future of country trio Gloriana is in doubt as singer Rachel Reinert has decided to leave the group. In a post on Twitter, Reinert thanked fans as well as Tom and Mike Gossin before revealing what’s next for her.

“This was not an easy decision, nor one that I took lightly,” Reinert writes, “but I felt that it was time for me to move on and follow my heart. I sincerely wish Tom and Mike Gossin all the best.”

Originally a four-piece group, Gloriana formed in 2008 and found quick success with their debut single, “Wild at Heart.” Their next three singles struggled to break the Top 40 on Billboard's Country Airplay charts, and Cheyenne Kimball left the band in 2011.

In 2012 “(Kissed You) Good Night” would go Platinum and become a Top 5 hit for the trio. Reinert took more a lead role for this new version of Gloriana. However, their next three singles struggled, and the Three album was released quietly last June.

“I am excited to announce that I have begun working on the next chapter of my life as a solo country artist. I will be taking the first part of this year to write and record my album and cannot wait to get the music out as soon as I possibly can,” the 26-year-old says.

It’s not clear if she’ll record on Gloriana’s label home, Warner Music Nashville, or another label. The trio is still listed on the label’s website. Neither Gossin brother has commented yet.
