The redneck woman herself Gretchen Wilson is turning 44 years young today.

Back in the mid 2000's, Gretchen Wilson hit the country music scene in full force with the release of a country girl anthem that caught like wildfire "Redneck Woman" which was a number one single for her.

Then Gretchen followed that up with another mega smash "Here For The Party" which went to #2 on the charts.  Wilson was on fire and released three more singles with "Homewrecker", "When I Think About Cheatin", and "All Jacked Up".  They all were top 10 hits on the charts.

Wilson in 2005 was nominated for several awards from the release of her first album and won top female vocalist in 2004 and 2005 from both the ACM's and the CMA's.

Since then though, Wilson has struggled with cracking even the top 20 with releases of new songs from 2005 until now.  Out of sixteen songs she has released since her 2005 success, only one song "Work Hard, Play Harder" cracked the top 20 and #18.

The last song she has released was in 2016 called "Rowdy". Gretchen still tours today.  Happy Birthday to the Redneck Woman Gretchen Wilson.
