Retiring LSU Announcer Jim Hawthorne Calls His Final Play At Alex Box Stadium [VIDEO]

If you are a big LSU sports fan and have ever listen to a football, basketball or baseball game over the radio, then you are familiar with the voice of the LSU Tigers Jim Hawthorne.  A few months ago it was announced that Jim has decided to retire from the microphone after the 2015-2016 basketball season.

Well last night, Jim called his final game at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.  I know your thinking last game?  Yes because even though the LSU baseball team won the Super Regional and are headed to the college world series, that was the final LSU baseball game at "The Box" this year.  LSU will end their season in Omaha by either winning the World Series or losing out in the tournament.
