The New Orleans Saints are headed to the west coast and will take on the San Francisco 49ers Saturday January 14th.

The Saints are coming off a big win at home against the Detroit Lions last Saturday 45-28 in the NFC wild card game.  The 49ers had a first round bye.  This should be a great matchup!

What time is the game?

The Saints and 49ers will hit the field on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised on FOX.

The Saints are 14-3 overall which includes their playoff win while the 49ers are 13-3 on the season.

The interesting thing about this game is that one of the NFL’s number passing offenses in the Saints will be going up against one of the NFL’s number one defenses against the run in the 49ers!

Drew Brees will have to have one heck of a day passing since the 49ers are stiff against the run.

Here is a cool scenario by the way.  If the Saints beat the 49ers and the Giants beat the Packers, then New Orleans will host the NFC Championship game in New Orleans at the Superdome.  How awesome would that be?  First things first, lets take care of the San Francisco 49ers first!

Geaux Saints!!
