Sammy Kershaw Gives Update on Randy Travis

Randy Travis is recovering from his recent health problems,, but according to one of his good friends, the singer may have experienced a setback.

Sammy Kershaw wrote on his Facebook page earlier this month that Travis was facing another complication. “Olde friend Randy Travis needs our prayers,” he shared. “Had a little setback this weekend. He has developed pneumonia. Let’s rock on for him.”

The 54-year-old may be regaining his physical strength, but his mind is still on music. He recently announced he will release his latest album, ‘Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am,’ on Oct. 1. The 13-track album includes songs that he says helped shape his own award-winning career.
