Sobriety and Seatbelt Checkpoint Tonight in Calcasieu Parish

Louisiana State Police Troop D plans a DWI and seatbelt checkpoint tonight from 10 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location of Calcasieu Parish. The mission is to find and remove impaired drivers from the road before they can cause injury or death to themselves or others. They will also be issuing tickets to occupants who are not properly restrained.To report impaired drivers, motorists are asked to dial *LSP(*577) from their cellular phone or contact their local law enforcement agency.
