UPDATE 2:30 p.m.:  Officials have since confirmed that 100 vehicles were involved in the crash, which was likely caused by mid-morning fog.  Two are dead and dozens are injured, according to KFDM-TV.  I-10 westbound is now open, but eastbound will continue to be closed for a while.

State police reported injuries between 80-120 people with a pair of motorists crushed by a tractor trailer.

KFDM has raw video from the scene of the crash.  It's unbelievable.

ORIGINAL POST:  Louisiana State Police confirmed that Interstate 10 has been shut down between Winnie and Beaumont in Texas due to a 50-car pileup.

No word on how many injuries were caused or how long Interstate will be shut down, but police have confirmed that BOTH directions of Interstate are at a stand-still.
