Professional athletes worked hard to get where they are today They're rich because OTHER people pay to watch them do their thing. Their salary depends on how many people watch them play, so it's not their fault if they're making a lot of money. Right?

I personally love this time of year! Why? Might have to do with a sport known as baseball. It's a sport that has had it's share of unbelievable moments too.

The Cowboys will look to bounce back from the loss to LSU this weekend in Lake Charles when Southland Conference foes Incarnate Word comes to town for a three-game series.

The McNeese State Cowboys have broke the four and four streak with their fifth win in a row. Yesterday the Cowboys beat Sam Houston State 5-2 in Huntsville.

The McNeese State Baseball team has been very streaky this year. They won their first four games then proceeded to lose four straight. Let's hope they started another winning streak yesterday in Lafayette.

Bradley has taken the weekend series against the MSU Cowboys who have dropped three games in a row after winning their first four. The Cowboys have not been able to score a single run against Bradley in the first two games of the weekend series

Not rain, not cold, nor wind, nor Mardi Gras can stop the McNeese Baseball team. On a cold Mardi Gras afternoon the Pokes kept their undefeated season rolling with their fourth straight win.

Three norther teams visit Lake Charles this weekend. Our Friday forecast calls for a high in the 60s and Saturday should warm up to the 70's. The visiting teams are all coming from much colder climates.

McNeese Baseball fans are breaking out the brooms after the Pokes opened the season with a home sweep of Arkansas Pine Bluff. It is the second season in a row that the Cowboys opened the season with a sweep.

Arkansas Pine Bluff will be glad to leave Lake Charles. They have seen some great McNeese State starting pitching and are one loss away from being swept in the Cowboys season opening series.
