Jim Everett. ESPN

Jim Rome, one of my favorite sports radio and TV talk show hosts is leaving ESPN after eight years as host of  "Jim Rome Is Burning"  to take a gig at CBS Sports. Sources say that Rome was offered a "multi-year" contract to stay at ESPN but turned it down to have an expanded role at CBS beyond his regular show and he will make appearances on Showtime which is owned by CBS.
