It was a perfect day for day one of the Bayou Country Superfest and tailgating was the first order of the day. RVs lined the parking lot as fans cooked and drank anything you can imagine. Fan Fest outside of Tiger Stadium was the warm up for an afternoon and night of some of Country Music's best.

As the country couple Thompson Square climbs the charts, they want to help children in the process. They are currently on tour with Luke Bryan and are offering two meet and greet passes for ANY fan that sponsors a child through Child Fund between now and March 23rd , 2013! This is because they want to hear about your stories in person! How cool is that?

Thompson Square were returning home from a show in Pembroke Pines, Fla. on Monday morning (Jan. 28) when their tour bus was blindsided just 20 minutes from home.

Thompson Square's Shawna Thompson says when she needs a break from husband Keifer, she flashes something she calls the "stank eye." He might have gotten it -- the "stank eye," that is -- after telling Taste of Country Nights radio host Jeremy Robinson how he planned to celebrate if the duo won the Vocal Duo of the Year award at the 2012 CMAs.

The Academy of Country Music took a different approach to naming the nominations for the 2012 ACM Awards, inciting a first-time digital press conference via their Facebook page, as opposed to simply posting a list of hopefuls. With help from folks like Reba McEntire, Lionel Richie, Nancy O’Dell of ‘Entertainment Tonight’ and more, the red carpet was rolled out for this year’s event.

Wow, the 2011 American Country Awards on Fox is getting one heck of a lineup this year! Top country talents like Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies and Trace Adkins are on the early list of performers. With over a month to go before the Dec. 5 ceremony, you know they are gonna get even more big names signed up!
