In February, we reported that legendary country outlaw Waylon Jennings‘ family had determined to celebrate the singer’s life and career with a new album of primarily unreleased material. This week, the release date and track listing of ‘Goin’ Down Rockin’: The Last Recordings’ was finally announced. Due out September 11, 2012, the record will feature 12 songs, 11 of which Jennings wrote.

February 10, 2011 There are people who define Country Music. When you start naming the legends, Waylon Jennings will inevitably be mentioned. Jennings, drawing from the influence of Buddy Holly, started his career in the 50's. Not only did this impact his music, but in turn, is partially responsible for the music we hear on the radio today. Although Waylon Jennings died in 2002, his music is still very much alive.
