September 10, 2012 A Westlake couple is behind bars after the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said they committed incredible abuse on a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old in their own family. The two are accused of binding one of the children with duct tape and biting the other in the chest.

August 10, 2012 Starting Monday, if you're using the stretch of Interstate between the big Calcasieu River bridge and PPG Drive along I-10, things are going to start getting slower. For the next six months, the state DOTD will be rebuilding that nasty stretch of highway.
