Texas Rangers rookie Nomae Mazara hit a 491 foot home run Wednesday against Los Angeles Angels pitcher Hector Santiago. It landed in the upper deck of Texas' Globe Life Park. It is the longest of the 2016 season.

The Rangers would go on to win, 15-9.

This Mazara guy is looking pretty good. Making an early case for Rookie of the Year, if he can stay on this tear. Yes, I know there's other rookies going off, too, like Aledmys Diaz or Trevor Story (even though he's cooled off), but Mazara takes the cake for me.
