With the craziness of the NCAA Baseball Super Regionals this weekend, they seem to overshadow another event involving college and high school baseball players from around the country. The 2015 Major League Baseball Draft will begin tomorrow night at 5:00 with round one and compensation picks. Rounds 2-10 will take place Tuesday while rounds 11-40 will happen on Wednsday.

You can catch round one tomorrow on the MLB network or follow along at the Major League Baseball website. The rounds taking place Tuesday and Wednesday will only be available for following along on the MLB website.

The Arizona Diamondback have the first overall pick followed by the Houston Astros at second overall. The Colorado Rockies and Texas Rangers will follow at third and fourth overall, respectively. The Houston Astros will round out the top five as they hold two of the top five draft selections.

There are a handful of prospects from Louisiana colleges as well as a few Southwestern Louisiana natives who could be chosen as well.

One of the top prospects in the entire draft is LSU short stop Alex Bregman. The LSU short stop is considered a unanimous top five prospect. In his three seasons at LSU, he has batted .334, hitting 21 home runs, and contributed 146 RBI's.

Bregman's counterpart in the 2015 Baton Rouge Super Regional at short stop, Blake Trahan, is also expected to fall in the top 100 picks, possibly even top 50. Trahan is a native of Kinder, Louisiana and attended Kinder High School. In his three seasons at ULL, he has batted .344, hit 10 home runs, and has contributed 112 RBI's.

Former Barbe Buccaneer and LSU senior outfielder Jared Foster is expected to hear his name called, but he is expected to go in the later rounds. In his four seasons at LSU, Foster batted .254 with 12 home runs (9 in his senior season), along with 67 RBI's.

Other prospects to keep an eye on from local schools:

Former St. Thomas More Cougar and LSU Outfielder Andrew Stevenson

South Beauregard High School Pitcher Nick Lee

St. Thomas More High Third Baseman and Shortstop O'Neal Lochridge

Sam Houston High School outfielder Dayton Dugas
