The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Calcasieu-Lake Charles was put together to honor cancer survivors.  It's an incredible way for the community to come together and make a united stand to raise money to fight this devestating disease at the same time.
If cancer has touched your life, participating in a Relay For Life event is one way for you to take action and help finish the fight.  There are many ways you can get involved.  One way is to participate in this weekends event.
The event kicks off at 6 pm tonight, were communities across the globe will come together to honor, remember and fight for those effective by cancer.  Relay For Life teams will camp out overnight and take turns either walking or running.  This is a 24 hour long event and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
This is your opportunity to honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and raise funds/awareness to find a cure for cancer.  Help finish the fight and let's end this disease forever!
