The Band Perry’s Kimberly Is Engaged!

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry is engaged! 

Her boyfriend of a year-and-a-half, Toronto Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arenciabia, popped the question yesterday at her family's home in Greenville, Tennessee. When Kimberly realized that J.P. was about to propose, she changed into her favorite pink dress -- the one she always hoped to be wearing at the special moment. In her room was a letter from her family and the bracelet her grandfather gave her grandmother when they started dating.

The couple met in February 2012 after a performance at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida. J.P. felt compelled to meet Kim after he saw the band's video for "If I Die Young."

A summer 2014 wedding is planned.
