Nasa has just released a website to add your name, or your Ex's name, to a microchip that will be placed on the Parker Solar Probe. Obviously this isn't the only reason they are sending a probe to the Sun. The Parker Solar Probe will be traveling towards the big ball of fire at 430,000mph, and is roughly the size of a car, if that car could withstand 2,500 degree temperatures. It will send back information that scientists have been trying to figure out for decades.

The probe's name is after Astrophysicist Eugene Parker. Parker serves as the S. Chandrasekhar Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus, Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Don't worry about googling what that means, let's just assume it means the guy knows his stuff and can probably make a mean chocolate milk. This is the first time in the history of NASA that a craft was named for a living individual.

If you want your name to head to the sun, you can sign up and even receive this fancy certificate for doing so. Throw your Ex's name in there as well, but you'll have to wait a few years before it actually happens. The probe is scheduled to launch this summer and will head over to Venus to sling shot around over to the Sun. Once it runs out of propellant, it will be pulled into the Sun. NASA expects that to happen in late 2025.

To sign up, head over to the Parker Probe Website and follow the directions.
