The man that should have been a cowboy just announced his 2018 tour. The tour, named the Should Have Been a Cowboy Tour XXV, is in honor of the hit song that put him on the map and led him into the Songwriter's Hall of fame in 2015.
Written one night after watching one of his hunting buddies get rejected by a girl for a cowboy. Keith leaned over to his friend and said "John, you should've been a cowboy". After holding up in the bathroom of his hotel for 20 min after leaving the bar, the most played country song of the 90's was written. Released on Feb 12, 1993, the song spent it's time at number 1 on the Billboard for 2 weeks. With 6 million spins as of 2012, the song has brought him on USO tours, the video game Rock Band, and onto the first Western performer in Saudi Arabia.

Although, at this time, it doesn't seem as though he is coming anywhere near the SWLA or SETX area, there is still plenty of time to add dates to route through this side of the world. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
