Tree Seedlings Now Available From Department of Agriculture and Forestry

It's all about trees for future generations. Now is the time to get your seedlings from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. The pine and hard wood seedlings are now available in DeRidder.

The orchard grown seedlings are available in packets. The Pine packets contain 20 advanced generation loblolly seedlings. Hardwood packets contain two seedlings. The hardwood seedlings include water oaks, sawtooth oaks, willow oaks, shumard oaks and bald cypress according to the LDAF web site. The seedlings are available on a first come, first served basis. All of the seedlings come with planting and care instruction.

The sale is going on at the LDAF office in DeRidder from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. through this Friday. The office is located at 585 Hwy 3099 and the phone number is 337-463-7801.
