This is the most tropical activity we have seen so far this year. To this point  mother nature has spared us ... unless you have vacationed in Cancun at the wrong time this year.

We have seen a few storms cross the Yucatan Peninsula and then move into Mexico without threatening the United States. It looks like the same will happen with Tropical Depression Ten.  NOAA predicts the storm will gradually strengthen to a tropical storm with winds maxing out at 65 MPH. The storm now over the Bay of Campeche is predicted to make landfall on the Mexican coast Monday morning.

Tropical Depression Gabrielle is expected to move to the  north-northwest and have little or no effect on the United States eastern seaboard. The storm is currently about 360 miles south-southeast of Nantucket.

Humberto

Hurricane Humberto is located about 700 miles northwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Humberto is expected to weaken for the next 48 hours then begin to regain intensity. The motion is expected to change a couple of times in the next few days and the storm could very well make a northern turn in the next five days. We will keep an eye on Humberto for you.

There is one more area of disturbed weather about 400 miles east of the Leeward Islands that has very little chance of formation in the next five days.

It looks like another great weekend for us in Southwest Louisiana.
