Willie Nelson Lights Up 82 Today

The red headed stranger Willie Nelson is celebrating his 82nd birthday today.  Willie was born in Abbott Texas in 1933.  Willie has been performing and recording music since 1956.

Willie is well known for mega hits like  "On the Road Again", "To All the Girls I've Loved Before", and "Pancho & Lefty".  Willie is one of the original country music outlaws often teaming up with Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash back in the day!

Did you know that Willie Nelson has acted in over 30 films and movies and wrote several books?  And we all know he is a huge advocate for the legalization of marijuana.

He likes smoking pot so much, he even launched his own brand of marijuana a couple weeks ago! I remember when he got pulled over by Lafayette on his tour bus and got arrested a few years back.

Plus Toby Keith put out a song about Willie's weed habit with a great song called "I'll never smoke weed with Willie again".

Never the less, he is doing something right.  He is still performing and touring and of course smoking it up!  Happy Birthday Willie.  I am sure you will roll one up and celebrate today!
