The City of Lake Charles is looking for full-time:

Assistant Technical Superintendent ( Water or Wastewater)

Positions report directly to the Technical Superintendent over the division and is responsible for planning, organizing, assigning, and supervising, the activities of the Division along with supervision of staff in the assigned areas. This includes water treatment and pumping facilities, the distribution system, and more.

Large Equipment Operator (CDL Position)

Must have CDL license and past driving or operating experience. Positions open driving transit buses (requires passenger endorsements), solid waste rear-end loader, side loaders, cherry pickers, dump trucks, etc.

Auto Mechanics

Auto Mechanic I Salary Level: Start: $15.95 - Max Rate: $25.65 (R7) FLSA Status: Non-exempt - Hourly SUMMARY Under close supervision, this position is responsible for general mechanical work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

General Maintenance/Unskilled Laborer

Individual is responsible for manual labor of an unskilled and semi-skilled nature under general supervision. General duties include: Loading, unloading and carrying sand, gravel, pipe, lumber, furniture, etc.; operating small equipment and hand tools, maintaining grass, shrubs and trees around.

Trades Worker

Individual is responsible for duties of a semi-skilled level under general supervision. General duties include: electrical work such as, wiring, replacing fuses and bulbs, and conduit work; use of power and hand tools, and operation and maintenance of machinery, including jack hammers, power saws and etc.
