What kind of pet name do you give someone who is already nicknamed "Duck"?

Lainey Wilson was asked recently what she calls her famous ex-QB boyfriend Devlin Hodges, AKA "Duck," when she is being romantic. It led to a hilarious response from Lainey and even a response from Duck himself.

It all started on Taste of Country Mornings with Wood and Nicole when Wood first asked the superstar what she calls her famous Devlin "Duck" Hodges — a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback — when she is mad at him. Lainey jokingly said that she still calls him "Duck."

Wood continued with the question, "So, you've never called him Devlin?"

Lainey agreed, "I have never called him Devlin, and if I do, it's cause I'm messing with him."

Nicole then asked, "So when you're being romantic, you don't say 'Hey Devlin' [in a romantic voice]?" Lainey hilariously answered the question with, "Oh no, I say... QUACK QUACK."

That led to lots of laughs and lots of social media interaction, including a response from Duck himself.

"QUACK," Hodges responded.

Wood commented to ask Duck directly, "What do you call her when you are mad???"

Duck responded with, "I don’t ever get mad at her 😃😅😂."

Wood jokingly replied, "Smart man!!!"

These Cute Pics of Lainey Wilson + Devlin Hodges Are Workin' Overtime

Slowly, but surely, Lainey Wilson is becoming more comfortable sharing her relationship with former NFL player Devlin Hodges with the world. Although it's unclear when their romance began, the pair made their first pubic appearance together at the 2023 ACM Awards. Then, they attended the CMA Awards together that fall.

Wilson has spoken very little about Hodges, but she did share that she's not afraid to put him to work around her home in Nashville.

"I put him to work," Wilson told Taste of Country ahead of the 2023 CMA Awards. "Look, he's got a long list of things. I'm like, 'Take the trash out, mow the yard, do something with the flower beds, feed the dogs.'"

One things is for sure, these two make an adorable couple.
