4th of july

Everybody has a story to tell about a particular 4th of July or summer vacation. I'll start and then you share yours. Here's my story (and yes I'm stickin' to it.)

On July 4, 2012, the United States will celebrate its 236th birthday – and in most places, the first big bash of summer!  So what’s happening in the Lake Area for this Independence Day?  We’ve rounded up all the information on each town’s event so you can figure out how you want to spend your Fourth of July!

Let's face it...A lot of historical "facts" get kind of lost over the years. We thought we'd straighten out just a few facts regarding why and what we celebrate on the 4th of July.
