Who knew Apple's open book emoji actually had something written on it's little pages?

Local artist and author Peggy Borel says her mission is to inspire children and adults through creative words and colors. She has written a new book and will be reading it to kids at The Lake Charles Children's Museum tomorrow.

Casey Anthony’s defense attorney, Jose Baez, who already has his eye on a gig as a TV legal analyst, reportedly met with a literary agent from Inkwell Management last week in the hopes of also landing a book deal. The agent, Richard Pine, already represents authors such as Arianna Huffington and James Patterson.

He has seven number one country singles and a pair of quadruple-platinum albums to his credit, but for John Michael Montgomery, his next album might be his most meaningful. Montgomery is planning a musical collaboration -- with a book to follow -- with his big brother and fellow country singer Eddie Montgomery, best known as one half of the bestselling duo Montgomery Gentry.
