Christmas Parades In Lake Charles

"Cajun sneaux" kept Santa from rolling into some southwest Louisiana towns, but there's still a few more Christmas parades for him to ride in and for you to attend. Pray for good weather!

The threat of rain and possible thunderstorms this weekend has prompted the cancellations of some Christmas parades this weekend.

Due to the McNeese Home playoff game this Saturday, the City Of Lake Charles has once again altered their plans for the upcoming "Light Up the Lake" ceremonies. It was originally set for a one day event but has now been stretched into a two day festival.

Communities across southwest Louisiana have Christmas parades and festivities set to usher in Santa Claus over the next two weeks.

About a week ago we reported to you about the times, locations and how to sign up for the City Of Lake Charles Christmas activities. Well the City of Lake Charles had a press conference today and advised that they have moved up the times of all the events for the "Light Up the Lake" ceremonies.

The City of Lake Charles will hold a Santa Workshop, a community band concert, lighted boat parade, a street parade and then the lighting ceremony and fireworks.
