DWI checkpoint

In an effort to keep our streets safe, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will conduct a DWI and seat belt checkpoint Friday night February 27th somewhere in the parish.   In a continuing effort to keep the citizens of Calcasieu Parish safe, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a combination DWI checkpoint and a seatbelt checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the parish on

The Lake Charles Police Dept. has announced that they will be conducting a DWI Checkpoint today and tomorrow Sept. 4. These checkpoints are scheduled between 4pm-9pm at an undisclosed location in Lake Charles. So buckle up and designate a driver.

In an effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers the Lake Charles Police Dept. has scheduled DWI Checkpoints Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.

The Lake Charles police Dept in conjunction with the Louisiana Highway Commission will be conducting DWI Checkpoints July 22 and July 24 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

The Lake Charles Police Dept. plans to conduct DWI checkpoints on July 22 and 24 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at undisclosed locations in Lake Charles.

Deputy Chief Mark Kraus has informed us that the LCPD will be conducting a DWI Checkpoint this Wednesday May 14 from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at an undisclosed location in Lake Charles.

This Friday January 24, in an effort to keep Calcasieu Parish residents safe, the CPSO will be conducting a DWI Sobriety and Seatbelt Checkpoint in the parish. These checkpoints will  target people driving under the influence of alcohol and or narcotics as well as those not wearing seatbelts.

Drinking and driving is a big problem not only in SW Louisiana but all over the country. Louisiana State Police and all law enforcement agencies are working very hard to remove impaired drivers from the roadways before they cause injury or death to others or themselves.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is going to be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint this Saturday night March 9th somewhere in the parish. It is an ongoing effort to keep the highways and roadways safe.
