We are sad to have to report that breast cancer survivor and local advocate for finding a cure, Ethel Precht has passed away at the age of 79.

The Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Walk is one of the premier charity events of the year. This year's walk is slated for October 19th. There was a great crowd at yesterday;s Ethel Precht Breast Cancer 3K yesterday. The walkers and volunteers all enjoyed the beautiful morning. Some decided to get ready for the walk with a little dance.

Since 2004, the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer 3K has been raising funds to help those in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes stricken with the horrible disease.  And now, eight years later, it's growing and raising even more money.
