As the city anticipates a 3-day weekend going into the Labor Day holiday Monday, we have been informed that there will be no trash picked up. With today being "Labor Day" I thought it would be appropriate to have a song just for the working man and so many of us can relate to this one. Happy Labor Day.

The City of Lake Charles announces that there will be no garbage on Monday Sept 1 because it is the Labor Day Holiday. If you normally have your garbage picked up on Monday it will be picked up on Tuesday. If your pickup day is Tuesday it will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will remain normal. All recycling stations as well as the Team Green Truck will not operate on Monday.

Here we are headed into the Labor Day weekend and it looks to be Tropical Weather free for us. There is a system of disturbed weather moving over Florida though.
