UPDATE 2:30 p.m.:  Officials have since confirmed that 100 vehicles were involved in the crash, which was likely caused by mid-morning fog.  Two are dead and dozens are injured, according to KFDM-TV.  I-10 westbound is now open, but eastbound will continue to be closed for a while.

If you are expecting guest from west of Winnie... they may be late. The delay is because  of a huge pile up near Winnie Texas. The wreck happened in the fog at around eight  this morning. It will eventually affect our area.

If you know anyone headed over from Lafayette or further west ... you might want to warn them. They may be sitting on I-10 for a long time.

We thought we would save you some aggravation during your weekend commute. There is road construction and  a DWI check point scheduled this weekend.
