Where were you seventeen years ago? I was working for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office patrol division. Here is my story of that day.

A rainbow appeared over the World Trade Center on Thursday, one day before the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

This past week the spire was placed on the top of the new World Trade building in New York bringing the building to a height of 1,776 feet. This makes the building the worlds third tallest building and the tallest in the United States.

The Twin Towers were enormous buildings and the attacks of 9/11 were of such magnitude that people were able to see the skyline change from neighboring states and camera-equipped satellites were even able to capture the aftermath from space.

The September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks claimed the lives of 2,977 victims. The name of each victims is listed below.

In a stunning development, President Barack Obama confirmed late Sunday evening that Osama bin Laden, the leader of terrorist group Al-Qaeda responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, was killed Sunday in Pakistan. Obama made the announcement in a televised address shortly after 11:30 PM ET, about an hour after reports of bin Laden’s death had made their way onto the Internet.
