How hot is it out there? Not as hot as it's gonna be! Welcome to July, one of the hottest in SWLA!  Record breaking Heat Across The Midwest Is Expected To Spread Into The Eastern U.S. By The Weekend!

Tonight isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, and lightning & dusty winds are the primary threat. Friday through Wednesday showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage Friday through the weekend into next week with lightning & gusty winds are the primary.

The area's climate is humid and sub-tropical and is influenced to a large degree by the Gulf of Mexico. In spite of the normal rainfall amounts, dry spells of two to three weeks are not uncommon.The spring and fall seasons are very mild and pleasant, with the summer weather consistently warm and humid. The winter months are mild with short cold spells. Outdoor activities can be enjoyed year round.

Reintroducing record breaking heat to the mid atlantic states and northeast over the next couple of days. And A combination of heat advisories & excessive heat watches & warnings extend from eastern South Dakota and the Central Plains eastward across the midwest to mid atlantic coast, noticeably cooler and drier air filtering in behind a cold front advancing eastward from the northern plains

will provide relief to the upper midwest.
