Beauregard Parish Fair is This Week!

Beauregard Parish Fair, Louisiana's oldest agricultural fair, is currently underway in the city of DeRidder.

Last night's parade was the official kickoff of the 2014 fair, which will come to an end after Saturday night. Tickets for the carnival rides are $1 per ticket or a book of 50 for $45. Special ride bracelets will be available during the day on Friday and Saturday.

Schedule Of Events

Today

4 p.m.: Gates open.

6 p.m.: Poultry show.

8 p.m.: Gospel singing (in pavilion).

Thursday

8 a.m.: Gates open.

9 a.m.: Senior Citizens Day (62 and older enter free and entertainment and meal will be provided).

Noon: Announcement of oldest senior at fair.

6 p.m.: Rabbit show.

6:30 p.m.: Dixie Darlins and Bayou Babes performing (in pavilion).

8 p.m.: 190 West performing (in pavilion).

Friday

9 a.m.: Gates open.

10 a.m.: All students admitted free until 4 p.m.

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Carnival bracelets $22.

11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.: Sonny Carlin The Bird Man performing (in pavilion).

7 p.m.: Melissa Brown performing (in pavilion).

7 p.m.: Cute Critter Contest.

8 p.m.: Mark Wheeler Band performing.
