If you do one thing this year, please plan to attend this event coming up later in November in Lake Charles. Of course, this event is near and dear to our hearts because Your Buddy Russ was part of our Townsquare Media family.

Friends, family, and Lifeshare Blood Center are holding a blood drive in Russ Conrad's (Buddy Russ) honor and the importance of giving blood is paramount in sharing the gift of life and even saving someone's life. Why was it important in Russ's case?

Buddy Russ passed away on March 31st of this year with stage four bone cancer. The only thing that kept him alive for as long as he did was getting blood transfusions two to three times each week. He couldn't have gotten those transfusions without donors like you getting out there to donate.

We miss Russ so much. Here is your chance to make a difference and help us save someone else's life or at least give them the vital blood they need to survive while fighting whatever health issues they are going through. How can you help?

Please show up at Mr. Bills Seafood Express located at 500 East McNeese Street in Lake Charles on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lifeshare Blood Center will be out there for six hours accepting donations.

You can scan the QR code above for more information. If you can't make it out that day, you can also go by Lifeshare Blood Center located at 214 Dr. Michael Debakey Drive in Lake Charles and make a donation in Buddy Russ's name.

Thank you for helping us help others and keeping Buddy Russ's memory and mission alive. Now let's laugh at Russ trying to cut a dog's toenails. Enjoy
