Country music superstar and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is set to perform at the Rockefeller plaza outside of the NBC studio's this Friday for the 'Today Show'.

Carrie is set to release her new CD "Storyteller" this Friday to the world and she is set to perform to push the new album.  You have been hearing her first single from the new record "Smoke Break" here on Gator 99.5!

In September, Carrie Underwood received two nominations for The 49th Annual CMA Awards coming up on November 4th. She is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Something In The Water”.

Carrie will also co-host the CMA awards show with Brad Paisley again this year.  Carrie and Brad have hosted the show since 2008 so this with be their 7th year in a row to do the show.

Carrie will take the stage around 8:30 a.m. Central time this Friday and it will be televised live on the NBC's "Today Show".
