Chris Janson’s ‘Buy Me A Boat’ Speaks Directly To Me
'Buy Me A Boat' is often said in my house. My hubby and I have been thinking about buying a boat for a few years now, waiting for the right one to come along. We want one that will seat about 6-8 people (have to have room for our granddaughter and our dogs), as well as be able to catch some fish, and ski behind it. A tall order, especially for my hubby who will have to launch and drive it around while I sunbathe. We are leaning towards a Pantoon, since it will fit all the requirements I have, and be easy to drive. Plus, have a nice area to sunbathe for me. I have priorities.
Chris Janson, an unknown Nashville artist six months ago, wrote the perfect song to fit my dream of owning a boat. Includes a Yeti, some Silver Bullets iced down, and the wind in my hair. Or, I might be including the wind in my hair, but it sounds really cool. Who doesn't want a boat to play around with during the dog days of Summer? Or, during Mardi Gras' boat parade? Or, a nice Fall day fishing on Toledo Bend Lake? I want to thank Mr. Janson for giving me ammunition, since my hubby has to really consider purchasing one since there is an official song about it. I can just play the song, over and over, and my hubby will get it. A subliminal message, GENIUS!
Hey, hubby, buy me a boat. I will ice the beer down, and make it worth your while. I might even let you catch the first fish...........
