Rumored for the last few days, the Mercedes Benz Stadium will now be the host of Superbowl 58 (I'll let you figure out the Roman Numerals). When it comes around in 2024, it will be the 11th time the "Chocolate City" has hosted a Superbowl, the first time its hosted since 2013, ties with Miami for amount of times hosted in one city, and it will be the 8th time it will be played in the dome (the other 3 where in Tulane Stadium).

To add to the chaos of the Superbowl, the Crescent City will already be packed with tourists and locals. Feb 4 is right smack in the middle of Mardi Gras Season that year, with Mardi Gras season falling on Feb 13.

The dome getting the Superbowl hosting go ahead brings its hosting resume' to become even heavier. In 2020, they will host the NCAA Football Play-off Nation Championship game, the NCAA Women's Final Four , and NCAA Men's Final Four in 2022.

Now, the only kicker here would be to see if the Saints can get into their homestead to play in that 2024 Game? Only time will tell!
