You already know about the sanctions levied against the Saints management and coaches. Could sanctions for individual players be coming soon?

One of the defensive players central in the "bounty" scandal is in meetings today with league officials. NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith led Scott Fujita and Drew Brees into the New York meetings at 11 AM this morning. Both of the players are on the NFLPA executive board and Fujita is front and center in the scandal. He is now with the Cleveland Browns. Jonathan Vilma is expected to recieve the biggest sanctions but other players may also feel the league's wrath. Word on the street is that he may be facing an eight game suspension. The Saints aquired free agent middle linebacker Curtis Lofton from the Atlanta Falcons in what could have been a pre-emptive move. Look for details of any player sanctions to be posted here at gator995.com.
