Country music icon John Anderson will be making a stop right here in Southwest Louisiana for a big show for one night only. John's iconic songs and unique voice have kept him in the country music scene for almost five decades now.

John David Anderson is from Apopka, Florida, and has been recording country music since 1974 but the 1980s and 1990s were where John really exploded in the country music world.

In 1982, John released the song Swingin' which became the biggest song of the year going straight to number one on the charts.  According to Wikipedia,

The single became the biggest-selling record in the history of Warner Bros. Records. In the wake of "Swingin'", Anderson received five nominations for Country Music Association awards for the year.

 

He was the winner of the Horizon Award, and the song was named Single of the Year; he also received nominations for Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year

How's that for the start of your career? Since then, John has recorded and released so many other iconic songs like She Just Started Liking Cheatin' Songs, Seminole Wind, Black Sheep, Stright Tequila Night, Money In The Bank, and I Wish I Could Have Been There.

John Anderson will be making a stop in Lake Charles to perform live at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023. He will hit the stage at 8:00 pm that night and tickets for this show go on sale Friday, June 23rd, 2023.
