Last night during the CMA Awards was a whirlwind of emotions. From legendary performances of old, to the new generation of country music. Laughs and tears were happening all night long. From the queens of country opening the show, to Reba showing exactly why she is Reba with her performance of Fancy.

As the night continued, the category for Male Vocalist of the Year came up. The nominees for this category were all worth of the award: Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, Chris Staplton, and Keith Urban. The winner, a well deserving Luke Combs. He continues to release hit after hit with solid vocals and song writing.

Obviously, everyone was excited for Combs, except as he took the stage a very large "boo" sound could be heard everywhere. It was coming from the balcony of the theater and things got a bit awkward for a few seconds. In the video, you can see that Combs goes from huge smiles and head shakes, to sudden somber. Perhaps it is just my imagination, but Twitter went crazy about the sound.

This could go on and on. I then began to think that the man's name is Luke. Perhaps the crowd is just saying "LUUUUUUUUUKE". It could be easily mistaken as boos. The facts are that the sound came from the upper bowl area of the theater, and that is usually where fans can purchase tickets to be apart of the CMA's.

I have never seen Combs in concert, but my mind was quickly put at ease.

There is still no comment coming from any of Combs' media outlets, but I really want to believe that the "boos" were just excited fans screaming his name.
